GSS · ANARCHIVE — PLANETARY JUSTICE MAP · SYLLABUS SHAPE

Gendered Networks — 3-Week Unit

A drop-in unit for an existing WGSS, history, or DH course, taught with the Planetary Justice Map. One session of orientation, one case deep-dive of your choice, one session of critique. Zero software beyond a browser.

WEEK 1

How to read a claim

In class (50 min): Pathway PW-01 walked together — annotation/reading line, precision classes, follow one source to its holder, the pending flag. Homework: the 150-word “what the map refuses to assert.”

GRAD: homework becomes the 300-word version including what the refusals cost.
WEEK 2

One case, in depth (choose one)

A. RAWA — Story Map I + Clandestinity + care lens.
B. Claudia Jones — Story Map II + Superexploitation + Pathway PW-02 (compressed).
C. Amazonia — Story Map III + Kawsak Sacha + Pathway PW-03 (compressed).

Homework: the case's deliverable (500 w, genealogy, or comparison table).

GRAD: add the case's historiographic seminar question from the 15-week shape.
WEEK 3

Against the map

In class: Pathway PW-04, stops 2–4 (missing lines, silences, source geography). Final: 500-word critique of the instrument — the unit ends by turning its tool over.

GRAD: the final adds the alternative-ontology sketch (PW-04 grad deliverable).

Every assigned view is a stable URL (use COPY VIEW). Pathways and dossiers print to text for low-bandwidth settings. Content note: Story Map I links (does not show) footage of an execution; flag before assigning. Standards, licence and the node-proposal rubric: the map's METHOD.
